Ford has never really struggled to sell Super Duty trucks. If anything, the problem is usually finding one that hasn’t already been claimed before it even hits the lot. But for 2027, Ford decided to do something a little different and teamed up with Carhartt for a factory package that honestly just… makes sense.

And no, this isn’t some flashy luxury trim pretending to be rugged.

The new Carhartt Package on the 2027 Ford Super Duty actually feels like it was designed for the people who use these trucks every single day. The guys (and gals) hauling equipment before sunrise, the farmers, contractors, utility crews, trailer pullers, and honestly anyone whose truck sees more job sites than grocery store parking lots.

Ford officially revealed the package this week, and it’s available on XLT Crew Cab Super Duty models.

What makes it interesting is that Ford didn’t just throw a badge on the side and call it a day.

The truck gets unique Carhartt-inspired styling throughout, including reflective exterior badging, textured graphics, custom interior stitching, Carhartt all-weather floor liners, and exclusive 20-inch wheels that were apparently inspired by Detroit manhole covers which is honestly such a weirdly specific detail that it somehow works.

Every Carhartt Package truck also comes standard with a spray-in bedliner, LED roof marker lights, clearance lamps, fog lamps, and standard four-wheel drive.
 

Engine-wise, buyers can still choose between the proven 7.3L gas V8 or the legendary 6.7L Power Stroke diesel. And yes, the high-output diesel is still available if you’re the type of person who thinks “tow capacity” is a personality trait. Honestly though, the biggest reason people are talking about this truck isn’t the specs. It’s the branding.

Ford and Carhartt honestly fit together almost too perfectly. Both brands have built reputations around durability, work ethic, and blue-collar loyalty, so this collaboration feels way more natural than most manufacturer partnerships we usually see.

That being said, the internet is definitely split on it already.

Some truck buyers absolutely love the idea of a factory-built Super Duty with Carhartt styling and work-focused details. Others think it’s just expensive branding and decals. Reddit has already been full of comments ranging from “finally, a truck package that actually fits the lifestyle” to “you’re basically paying extra for logos.”

Personally, I think Ford knew exactly what they were doing here.

Truck buyers love special edition packages. Always have.

And whether people admit it or not, branding matters. There’s a reason Carhartt jackets became basically the unofficial uniform of job sites, farms, diesel shops, and half of Kentucky in the winter.

The 2027 Super Duty Carhartt Package just takes that same identity and puts it into a factory-built truck.

And honestly, seeing Ford continue to lean into trucks that feel purpose-built instead of overly polished is probably the best part of the whole thing. The Super Duty lineup was already one of the most capable heavy-duty trucks on the road, but this package gives buyers something with a little more personality without sacrificing what makes a Super Duty a Super Duty in the first place.

Ford says the Carhartt Package will officially launch alongside the rest of the 2027 Super Duty lineup later this year.
